It’s still Monday…and I’m still inspired!
After YEARS of silence, Monday inspiration returns. It is never too late to keep doing what you started, or to start doing something you love!
Life often brings us to remote places or situations we never expected and it is important to stay grounded and faithful to your own self. Have you been doing what you like, lately? Have you been walking towards your goals and dreams? Are you the person you want to be?
Recently, someone who fills my life with beauty and love decided to stay away from chocolate for 5 days a week. Yep, chocolate. He wants to tame his addiction to sweets and started this self-imposed challenge that I found amazing. I happen to be living in a remote place, as I was mentioning above, working in a live-in position as a receptionist of an old Georgian mansion that is today both a hotel and an outdoor activity centre. One of the big cons of such kind of jobs is the fact that we get our meals from the industrial kitchen. Despite of the big efforts that chefs put into cooking, it’s definitely not the healthiest, and to be honest… when given the choice between fries or salad, my greedy self will always go for the fries! So, inspired by this beautiful man, I decided to join the challenge squad, …and that’s me with no fries for the week!
I love fries, but I also love challenge and daring to prove to myself I can become a better me. There’s permanently a better version of me that I want to explore – I can always eat healthier, train harder, sleep regularly, be tidier, take better care of the people I love, be more humble and gentle to the world. If I can challenge myself to improve one aspect at a time constantly, then I will be permanently walking towards my goals. And this is what life’s about: becoming that one hero / heroine that our inner child once wanted to be…and it is always easier when surrounded by beautiful people who inspire and motivate you to be who you already are. 😉
Happy Monday!
